Genzaburō Yoshino

Genzaburō Yoshino (1899-1981) was a Japanese writer and publisher. He studied philosophy and literature at Tokyo Imperial University and later worked at the University of Tokyo library. Yoshino was briefly imprisoned for his involvement in socialist thinking. He wrote 'How Do You Live?' as part of a series of educational books for young people, which has since become a classic in Japanese literature.
