Frederick O'Brien

American author, journalist, and world traveler (1869–1932) best known for his travel books about French Polynesia. O'Brien was a peripatetic wanderer who explored South America, the United States, and the South Pacific, and his writings helped revive Western interest in the South Seas as a literary and romantic subject in the early 20th century.
