Ezra or Nehemiah

The authorship is traditionally attributed to Ezra, a scribe and scholar, or Nehemiah, a cupbearer to King Artaxerxes. Internal evidence suggests that Nehemiah himself wrote at least portions of the text, while Ezra may have compiled the memoirs of Nehemiah and other sources[3][5][6].
