Damani Partridge

Damani Partridge examines the possibilities and limits for a universalized Black politics in Germany. He tracks how German youth of Turkish, Arab, and African descent use claims of Blackness to hold institutions accountable for racism. Partridge also explores the transformative impact of theater on young people, the tensions in solidarity, and the process of making and screening films in Detroit, Berlin, and Philadelphia.
