Cyrus I. Scofield
Cyrus I. Scofield was an American Bible student, theologian, and minister. He is best known for his work on the Scofield Reference Bible, which popularized dispensationalism. Born in 1843, Scofield served as a Confederate soldier, later studied law, and was admitted to the Kansas bar. He was converted in 1879 and became a prominent figure in Christian theology, especially in the development of dispensationalist premillennialism.
