Brother Lawrence (Nicolas Herman)

Brother Lawrence, born Nicolas Herman, was a 17th-century Carmelite friar known for his profound spiritual teachings. He spent most of his life in the monastery of the Discalced Carmelites in Paris, where he worked as a cook and later in the sandal repair shop. He is renowned for his simple yet deep method of cultivating the presence of God in everyday life.
