
Allen E. Bergin
Allen Eric Bergin (1934–2024) was an American clinical psychologist renowned for his research on psychotherapy outcomes and the integration of psychotherapy with religion. He was a faculty member at Brigham Young University (BYU) and received the American Psychological Association's Distinguished Professional Contributions to Knowledge award in 1989. His groundbreaking 1980 article on theistic values in psychology generated over 1,000 responses and requests for reprints from leading psychologists including Carl Rogers and Albert Bandura.
