This is a very very common challenge that racers drivers, riders and pilots face, it is how to remain at their best even though their lap time is noncompetitive or they are off the pace of the other drivers.
All too often racers can be distracted by their laptime or results, but if you are to get the most out of yourself then you cannot let this happen.
Here I will give you a reminder for how to prevent this, it's all about you keeping things simple and focusing on what is in your control every single time out.
