Why I moved my family to Cape Clear, 25 years later with Ger Ó Méalóid We interview Ger Ó Méalóid to learn more about her reasons for moving to Cape Island, West Cork, and then her experiences of raising a family and educating the children in an irish speaking family and community. Cape Clear Island has had a long positive tradition of families moving from all over the world, to raise their children in the safety and peace of a small friendly island in Roaring Water Bay, West Cork. With the current global pandemic that is COVID-19, many people are assessing what the risks will be of sending their children back to schools in September.
