Worshiping Christ as the Priority

During the Christmas season, it is important to understand that Christmas is about worshiping Christ. Worship involves prizing Jesus above everything else and making him the priority in our hearts. The story in Scripture from the Gospel of Matthew, about the wise men seeking Jesus to worship him, teaches us the true meaning of worship. One of the obstacles to worship is our own self-centeredness and the threat Jesus poses to our own little kingdoms. To truly worship Jesus, we need to make our lives available to him as his servants and approach each day with the question, 'How can I serve Jesus and his people today?'
