[Power Snacks]: The Beauty of Berries, EP: 727

After last week’s episodes on getting involved in the effort to curb gun violence, I felt like we could all use a subject that was a little less… intense. (Myself included.) You know, a little palate cleanser. And that subject, is snacks.

Specifically snacks that are a) yummy, because, of course taste comes first, and b) easy to pull together, because when you want a snack you and it now, and c) healthy. Maybe even ridiculously healthy. Like, if you ate more of these foods your nutrient density and overall health would likely improve. That’s what we’re talking about this week on the podcast. I call ‘em power snacks.

And the first snack that will up your nutrition is... berries. They're low-glycemic and they're high in all kinds of antioxidants thanks to their deep hues. You can eat them fresh or frozen. Heck, you can grow them!
