The Campaign to Defend Ka-lui and Solidarity with the Philippine Revolution

The Friends of the Filipino People in Struggle (FFPS) is an international organization that stands in solidarity with the struggle for national liberation in the Philippines. The FFPS is composed of member organizations around the world who support the Filipino people's fight for freedom from imperialism, capitalism, and feudalism. In the United States, the FFPS has a chapter called POPS (People Organizing for Philippine Solidarity) based in Portland, Oregon. POPS focuses on campaigns that connect the struggles in the Philippines with local organizing efforts. They work to build awareness and support for the National Democratic Front of the Philippines (NDFP) and its 12-point program for the Filipino people's liberation. POPS organizes educational discussions, film screenings, and awareness campaigns to challenge the US designation of the NDFP and its members as terrorists. They also work on campaigns to stop the bombings in the Philippine countryside and demand justice for human rights violations committed by the Philippine government. POPS aims to build connections with other organizations and individuals who are anti-imperialist and support the struggles for liberation and justice in the Philippines.
