Many of you who are Irish and enjoy sport will know of my next guest from his hurling days in county Wexford. For those listening from outside of Ireland or for those who aren’t so familiar with hurling, it’s one of Ireland’s national sport’s. A sport, which I think most of us will agree, involves a ridiculous amount of skill and courage. I recommend checking it out on YouTube if you haven’t seen it before.

Diarmuid’s time as a hurler has been very well-covered in a number of other interviews so I decided to use my time with him to find out more about his work with Wild Irish Retreats. We talk about ancient Irish lost traditions, modern life as a man, being the author of your own story and a lot more.
