The Misconception of Heaven Without God

In listening to a program about heaven on BBC Radio, the speaker noticed that none of the interviewees, who were well-known personalities, mentioned the presence of God when describing heaven. This observation led to the realization that those who do not want God in their lives now would not desire him in the afterlife. Living without God and then expecting to embrace him in death is a tragic mistake. Heaven, as described in the Book of Revelation, is a place where God is enthroned in glory, and the Lord Jesus is depicted as both the Lion King and the slain Lamb. The reality of heaven is greater and more wonderful than the symbolic language used to describe it.
