Interview With "The Perfect Neighbor" Filmmaker Geeta Gandbhir

"The Perfect Neighbor" is an American documentary film, directed and produced by Geeta Gandbhir, that follows the killing of Ajike Owens, primarily told through bodycam footage, exploring several suburban disputes that led to the murder. It had its world premiere at the 2025 Sundance Film Festival, where it received positive reviews for its direction, editing, and harrowing true story, which serves as an example of exploring the "stand-your-ground" law. Gandbhir was kind enough to spend time speaking with us about her work and experience making the film, which you can listen to below.
