Nordstrom goes private, Nvidia shares down

Stock futures are mixed as the market is set to kick off a holiday-shortened trading week. Market action will likely be muted but many are hopefull a ‘Santa Claus rally’ will push the markets higher through the end of the year.

Nordstrom (JWN) announced they are going private. The company will be acquired by the Nordstrom family and Liverpool (ELPQF) in an all-cash transaction valued at $6.25B on an enterprise basis.

Nvidia (NVDA) shares down 3% in December. Shares had peaked for the year in November.
