Damian Shiels is a historian, archaeologist, and curator. His specialist focus lies in conflict archaeology and the history of the Irish in America.
David Gleeson is an author, professor, and researcher. He is a native of Ireland but spent 18 years studying and teaching in the United States. His research focused on Irish and English immigrants in nineteenth-century America as well as issues of race, ethnicity and class in the 19th Century United States.
