Question tags, also known as tag questions, are short yes-no questions placed at the end of a statement. These tags serve to confirm information or seek clarification. They consist of an auxiliary verb and a subject, with the subject tense matching that of the statement. Positive statements use negative question tags and vice versa, while statements without an auxiliary verb employ 'do' in question tags.
