In this episode, Molly Hendry and Keith Turney guide Kyle and Jake on a tour of the Kaul Wildflower Garden, a space within the Birmingham Botanical Gardens that celebrates the diverse flora of the region, and they discuss their plans to recreate an oak-pine savanna ecosystem in a portion of the garden. The goal of this addition is to offer an easily accessible glimpse of a now rare ecosystem that historically covered vast portions of the eastern united states. This project is on the right track with knowledgeable, passionate people like Molly and Keith working to make it happen!
