Astronomers have set a new record for the most distant quasar ever found. The quasar dating back some 13.13 billion years is 1000 times more luminous than the Milky Way, and is powered by the earliest known supermassive black hole – a monster more than 1.6 billion times the mass of the Sun.

NASA’s Mars Ingenuity Helicopter has phoned mission managers at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory in Pasadena California to let them know it arrived safely on the red planet.
