2 Peter 3: Heaven is Great, but it’s not the End of the World

What will happen when Jesus comes back? How should we live in light of His promise? These are some of the questions that Peter answers in the third and final chapter of his second letter. He warns us about the scoffers who will mock the hope of Christ’s return, and he reminds us of God’s power and patience in fulfilling His word. He also describes the dramatic events that will take place on the day of the Lord, when the heavens and the earth will be dissolved by fire and replaced by a new creation where righteousness dwells.
