A recap of the notion of 'sacrifice' as to make something sacred for God, so as to recognise His supreme Majesty and adore Him. We too need to be set apart by being detached from profanity. Sacrifice needs a con-secration and transubstantiation. Can we say that the very active person at the foot of the Cross is not John the Apostle but Mary Coredemptrix? Our Lady set the highest example of an intimate-active participation in the sacrifice of Calvary. Therefore, She plays a unique role in the Holy Mass.
