After we’ve all been cooped up with the pandemic, a lot of us are feeling like we’re emerging with a different body than we went in with thanks to all kinds of reasons, from stress eating to working at home where the fridge is always right there. AND, our collective culture has been teaching us for centuries that certain body types are better than others, and we’ve internalized those messages. When really, the only people who benefit from maintaining any kind of physical ideal are the diet industry, the pharmaceutical industry, the supplement industry, and the plastic surgery industry.
These episodes are my prayer that we can find our way to feeling good with our bodies as they are, or at least feeling better (which is always the goal here at How to Be a Better Person).
