In Oliver Anthony's new song Rich Men North of Richmond, he sings about the woes of the new world that we live in where the government uses their authority to push people down and tax us to no end. While I sympathize with the libertarian undertones, I see this song as a challenge for parents to do better. We are called to be a better picture of authority in the lives of our children, to model for them sacrificial love and servant leadership. We can do better than our government because we love the ones we are leading.
