He's also Professor of Preventive Medicine in the Department of Health Policy and Professor of Medicine in the Infectious Diseases at the Vanderbilt University School of Medicine.
Latest figures show over 30,000 cases of monkeypox across 88 countries, as well as over 9,000 in the U.S. The World Health Organization has declared the outbreak a global health emergency.
