A Peloton of One: Surviving Childhood Sexual Abuse

Today’s guest is John Bernardo.

John Bernardo is an award-winning, Film and Video Director/Producer with over 20 years of experience in the industry, specializing in documentary film and digital docu-series. John has produced a variety of long-form content, television integrations, and web series that have aired on AMC, ESPN, NBCU, and Sundance TV. His most recent film is the documentary, A Peloton of One, which follows Dave Ohlmuller, a survivor of childhood sexual abuse by a priest, and his journey towards healing.

A Peloton of One is the Winner of The JP Morgan Chase Audience Award which was given at the Greenwich International Film Festival. This documentary is about surviving Childhood Sexual Abuse, focusing on the next chapter in the Survivors’ story - what happens after victims come forward. This film follows Dave Ohlmuller who begins a solo bicycle ride from Chicago to New York, meeting a variety of other Survivors and legal advocates along the way to raise awareness of the statutes of limitations.
