This lecture discusses key ideas from the 18th century philosopher Immanuel Kant's work, The Prolegomena to Any Future Metaphysics. Specifically it focuses on his discussion in the Third Part Of The Transcendental Problem: How is metaphysics in general possible? Specifically this bears upon Kant's discussion of the ideas or pure concept of reason, derived from his consideration of three main types of syllogisms (Verstandschlüsse): categorical, hypothetical, and disjunctive. These correspond to the psychological, cosmological, and theological ideas, which figure into the dialectic of reason.
