What hurts us can help us. 

Suffering is nature’s way of making you special. The greatest bleed the longest. What I mean by this is that it is actually within the fires of deep difficulty that the dross that covers the gold is burned off. 

Life loves you so much that it sends you difficulties to make you strong. In the quiet times of my own life’s largest heartbreaks, I retreated from the world [like a wounded animal retreats to the woods for healing]. And I remained in the wilderness—befriending the pain and allowing it to purify me as much as possible.

 Suffering has always provided soil for awesome creativity, next-level productivity and innovation.
