Big month for Cassandra Peterson. She's celebrated her birthday, she's released her new memoir Yours Cruelly, Elvira: Memoirs of the Mistress of the Dark, and now she's hosting a 40th anniversary special on Shudder that's aptly titled, Elvira’s 40th Anniversary, Very Scary, Very Special Special. To celebrate, the Halloweenies are dusting off this career retrospective interview with the legend from 2020 in which she digresses on everything from being a household name, to why the horror genre brings her so much comfort, to how she passed the time during the worst of the pandemic.
