Helen Olds is Principal of the British International School Riyadh. She is based in Saudi Arabia,

Helen speaks fondly of her upbringing in Cornwall, England, the firm roots family provided and how at a young age she became inspired to explore and work in different cultures.

Helen has lived in seven different countries and offers a unique perspective on school leadership and  life in South East Asia and the Middle East. From the pressure of running a five campus international school in a male dominated culture, to watching Octopuses in the Red Sea we cover a real range of topics in this conversation.

 We explore how to create a positive working culture, Outdoor Education, forgetting where your comfort zone is and why being a Principal means you are the lead learner in a school.
