With climate change continuing to be a predominant issue impacting the globe, investors have been increasingly considering net-zero carbon emission approaches during portfolio development. In order to reduce the world's carbon footprint by 2050, companies and individuals alike would need to pledge to decrease their greenhouse gas emissions to be in line with Paris Climate Agreement. But how can investors align both their long-term investment objectives as well as their values in investing? Alex Gitnik, Managing Director and Client Portfolio Manager, along with Hank Elder, Vice President of ESG and Impact Investing, share more with Anu Rajakumar on their perspectives, both in the philosophy and practice, of this important aspect of environmental, social and governance factors in asset management.
