31. Why Don't I Love Me?

Do you love yourself? Unfortunately, most of us in this world come from the outlook that we are not amazing. And if we think we are, then we must be either selfish, overly confident, cocky, or some other adjective that is not attractive. What does God say about self-love?

If you don’t love yourself, you will not be able to love others.God is the originator of us loving who we are. Why do we struggle to love ourselves?

• We are influenced by the world and need to be unpeeled – like an onion - or renewed.
• Comments people have said have more power than God.
• Codependency – we become overly dependent on other people because we don’t want them leaving us.
• Experiences we have had where loved ones made choices that hurt us
• We may be believing a lie that loving ourself is somehow new age or from the devil.
