Sabir Muhammad is a World Championship medalist and breaker of 10 American Records. How did a young black kid from a tough Atlanta neighborhood become a 25-time All-American swimmer at Stanford University? Partly thanks to the City of Atlanta Dolphins Swim Team and Coach Tommie Lee Jackson.
Sabir is a proud father to four and the founder of the Atlanta Swim School. The Atlanta Swim School has taught thousands of children to swim, many by Sabir himself. The Atlanta Swim School offers lessons for students of all ages, from infancy to adulthood, and believes that anyone, at any age or economic background, can benefit from swimming. Their motto is true and beautiful: "Swimming is Freedom".
