Extension of Truce and Hostage Release
Israel and Hamas have agreed to extend their truce by two days for the release of 20 more Israeli hostages. This follows the release of 17 hostages, including a four-year-old American girl, by Hamas. In return, Israel has released 39 Palestinian prisoners. As part of the agreement, Elon Musk's SpaceX company's Starlink communications will be brought to the Gaza Strip to support communications with internationally recognized aid organizations.
Yemen Terrorists Target US Destroyer
Iran-backed Yemen terrorists fired two ballistic missiles at a US destroyer in the Gulf of Aden. This comes after the same destroyer prevented an attempt to seize a tanker connected to an Israeli businessman. The tanker, owned by Zodiac maritime, was reportedly seized earlier in the day. Retired Army Major General James Spider-Markz warns of similar attacks in the future, as Iran has given open support to its proxies like the Houthis.
