In this conversation I sit down with my friend Kasia, a yoga instructor with a truly unique and deeply philosophical approach to her practice. Kasia is rooted in the ancient wisdom of yoga, exploring its profound meaning beyond the poses and postures we see on a mat. For her, yoga is not a workout but a way of being, a practice that connects body, mind, and spirit through awareness and integrity.

We talk about the eight limbs of yoga and how each represents a path toward self-realisation, from moral discipline and breathwork to meditation and inner freedom. Kasia makes a beautiful point that all of us, often without realising it, already practice aspects of yoga in our daily lives through reflection, compassion, honesty, or the pursuit of balance.

Together, we explore how the true spirit of yoga has been overshadowed by its commercialisation, as the modern industry often strips away its deeper wisdom for profit and aesthetics. We discuss the need to bring consciousness back into our practice and how living with awareness can transform both individuals and communities.
