Dr. Patel then explains how COVID-19 causes smell loss, what the chance of recovery is, as well as the best treatments and protocols currently available to regain your sense of smell. She also acknowledges how much patients with smell dysfunction are misunderstood and not heard by the medical community, and aims to do her part to be a patient advocate.
