Empaths often find themselves in the role of the scapegoat. This dynamic is rooted in the narcissist's need to shift blame and avoid accountability for their actions, while the empath, conditioned to pay attention to and anticipate others' moods for their own safety, becomes hyper-vigilant about the moods of everyone around them.
Growing up in an environment where being attuned to others' moods was necessary for survival can deeply impact an empath's psyche. It conditions them to be acutely aware of subtle cues and changes in the emotional atmosphere, honing their ability to navigate relationships with a heightened sensitivity to the needs and feelings of others.
Empaths are often blind to Narcissists making them a scapegoat due to several reasons:
1. Compassion
2. Desire for Harmony due to Open Solar Plexus
3. Focus on Others
4. Emotional Manipulation is at play
5. Self Doubt and confusion
6. Optimism
7. Lack of Awareness
