We all know what the areas of strength are in our lives… and we also know the areas in which we could improve. What areas of your life do you identify as being really good at? Are you a good employee? A great spouse? A terrific parent? If so, it’s a given that your behaviors… your habits, in those areas of your life, reflect how you feel about yourself in those arenas. Good employees show up for work on time, put effort into their job duties, get to meetings on time prepared to discuss the items on the agenda. The same is true for other roles in which you excel. What about those areas of life in which you see yourself as less capable? It’s common for bariatric patients to describe themselves in a variety of negative ways when it comes to their struggles with food, weight loss, exercise and regain. It’s very likely that your habits around eating and exercise reflect how you feel about yourself in these areas. Today’s podcast again includes information from James Clear, author of Atomic Habits.
