Operation Limousine and its Impact in Chad

Operation Limousine was a significant counter-insurgency operation in Chad where the French intervened to stabilize the country and support the government of Tumbleby. It was driven by the need to uphold defense agreements with Chad and maintain support among other Francophone allies. The French military took command of the Chadian army, embedded advisors, and conducted strategic sweeps to pacify central and eastern Chad. While initially successful in curtailing the central and eastern rebellion, the operation led to long-term consequences, including the breakdown of the Chadian state and the empowerment of predatory militias.
