15 years ago, Georgia Military College came out with a comprehensive video series on the 3-5-3 Defense. It was all the rage back in 2005, with tons of coaches buying them up.
I was one of those coaches. We installed the defense in 2006 and I took over as Defensive Coordinator in 2007.
By 2008, we had moved on. This time it was the Miami 4-3 Defense. That changed my coaching life forever.
With a little more knowledge and wisdom, it's time to go back and look at the original concepts and videos on the 3-5-3 Defense. What's changed? And why didn't we stick with it?
