In today’s episode, Amy gives us a glimpse into one of her global talks from last year at the 5th Annual Asian Yoga Therapy Conference in Singapore. Amy was asked to talk about Covid19 and how using appropriate pranayama can help people to feel happier, healthier and recover more quickly through breathing exercises. The key is gentle breath and movement coordinated, with mental focus. Amy talks about what happens physiologically when we exhale and when we inhale.
They talk about the following:
- Amy begins with a short discussion about the prana- mala-agni model of healing.
- Then Amy discusses the role of nitric oxide in immune system functioning
- She demonstrates how to create nitric oxide through pranayama
