Lately, I’ve been finding myself hesitant to identify as a functional medicine practitioner.

There have been so many clients coming to me saying “functional medicine didn’t work for me.” To that, there can be a million reasons why. But because of that one (or multiple failures), there is some serious mistrust being built. Especially when 20% of the American population says that nothing they've tried to heal their gut has worked.

Because functional medicine has been treated as the “highest form” of alternative medicine, when it fails someone, it feels like a BIG hit.

And if it didn’t work for them, how do I describe how what I do is different?

In today's episode, I'm talking about what the actual problem is behind why you haven't gotten results from previous practitioners. And I'm talking about what I think the solution should be for consumers making better choices in their purchases.
