We now know that former CIA Director, John Brennan, formed a "CIA Trump Task Force" with several other nefarious deep state figures in order to tie Donald Trump to Vladimir Putin. This turned out to be fruitless, yet a lot of damage was still done. Why did these deep state figures want to derail Trump's presidential aspirations?
