Any extroverts in the house?
I'm guessing "yes", since chances are good, if you follow this podcast, you likely are an extrovert or at least have those tendencies.
I used to be one too, but today, I consider myself a "Chilled-Out Extrovert", a seeming contradiction, I know. Because my experience is that those old tendencies are still in me and every so often they burst forth in a frenzy of activity that takes my breath away. Literally!
Couple that with my Aries moon, having recently been eclipsed while in Mercury retrograde, and you get some mighty energy going on.
So this episode is for and about extroverts, those who love them, live with them, or otherwise have to deal with them ... (which is pretty much everyone!)
There are some things I've realized over the years about being extroverted and how to best manage all that need to be in charge
It's a funny thing about us extroverts: we give the impression that we love to be surrounded by people and activities all the time.
We're generally viewed as the "life of the party" people, the ones with our fingers always on the pulse of what's new, hip, happening and what's next.
But here's a little "secret" about us: it's not that we love to be surrounded at all times, it's that we need to be. And therein, lies the problem.
Join me as I unpack my own experience of dealing with the shreds and shards of extroversion that still cling to my personality, even at this “mature” age of 82! And what it costs me!
What is it that REALLY drives extroverts to seek all that attention? What has us REALLY need to be in charge, manage, lead and direct whatever parade we’re marching in?
You might take notes if you’re an extroverted type as we dive into the dynamics of what’s really going on inside all that activity and best of all….. what is the antidote!
And extroverts, what have you found to be effective ways to deal with your own extroverted, burned-out status when you’ve crossed the line?
Come join us in the Living in The New Beyond Facebook group and share your own “secrets to being a chilled-out extrovert”, if there is such a thing! We are all ears!!
