Trauma lives within the body & when we shine a light on it, listen to it, work with it, love it & honour it an alchemy takes place. This alchemy allows for a deep embodiment & an empowered stance to create a solid foundation to rise from.

In this episode Lauren & I dive into trauma & addiction, how they work together & the first step to recovery. The brain, nervous system & bringing the body on board. Parasympathetic, sympathetic & co-regulation.

Lauren has spent the last decade studying healing to foster connection and community around trauma recovery. Aside from her love for teaching and serving through yoga, this path was a stepping-stone into healing therapies such as Reiki, Yoga Nidra, Critical Alignment Therapy, Dance Movement Therapy, a certificate in Traumatology, and a Master's in Counselling Psychology. Movement, yoga, and Lauren’s body-centered, trauma-informed offerings have been built on the notion that you can find freedom within struggle and pain. Lauren offers individual, couples and family counselling, in addition to trauma-informed workshops and trainings.
