Episode notes
Cooper Flagg Offers A Different Superstar Blueprint
- Cooper Flagg’s defensive versatility and varied offensive possibilities make his eventual championship template unusually difficult to predict.
- Luka Dončić arrived with a clearer offensive blueprint, while Flagg may offer easier roster-building flexibility if his skills diversify.
Denver’s High-Wire Roster Cannot Absorb Injuries
- Denver’s roster is so delicate that missing one rotation piece can destroy its spacing, defense, and overall functionality.
- Nikola Jokić’s brilliance remains the safety net, but the team’s defensive compromises and dependence on Aaron Gordon expose its thin margin for error.
The Best Superstars Stabilize Their Teams
- The hosts questioned whether Jokić contributes enough emotional leadership and defensive problem-solving to support his all-time ambitions.
- Stephen Curry and Tim Duncan were offered as models of steady superstar leadership without unnecessary teammate drama.
