Day eight of the trial of Richard Satchwell for the murder of his wife Tina heard today how a team of detectives and forensic archaeologists discovered her body hidden under the stairs of the couple’s Cork home more than six years after she had disappeared.
Eamon Dillon has been in court to hear how Tina’s remains were eventually discovered wrapped in a blanket and black plastic sheeting and how she was wearing a dressing gown with her purse in the pocket when she was buried.
Dental records were ultimately used to identify her body, the Central Criminal Court heard today.
