A recent study was published showing that sperm counts in the US (and a number of other countries) have fallen by more than 50% over the past four decades. OMG! WTF?! Humans have developed so many mindblowing inventions--gasoline, plastic, sex toys, anti-depressants, and on and on. Unfortunately, these brilliant inventions have also created mindblowing problems for humanity. Chemicals within these creations, like phthalates and BPA, are endocrine disruptors which mimic estrogen in the bloodstream. Which means—stay with us here—if you're a man with a lots of these phthalates in your body, you'll produce less testosterone and fewer sperm. And if you’re a mommy growing a baby boy and there are lots of phthalates in the bloodstream then the boy could turn out to be less male—a smaller penis and testicles, less testosterone, and fewer sperm. And thusly, we have The Spermpocalypse!
