Bryce and Alec are back from the US - Alec has almost recovered from his cold - and they're ready to chat about what's happened in the markets to date in 2023. So much for a tough year... ASX 200 is up 2%, the S&P 500 is up 9% and the best performer is the Nikkei 225 - which is up 20%! We reflect on what our predictions were at the start of the year - looks like we got a couple in the bag, but mostly it was a classic case of recency bias - 2022 was tough, so banks just predicted more of the same in 2023.
Later in the episode, Bryce catches up with his coach and mentor Henry Jennings, for more of a chat about his investment strategy - they're trying to work out how he might reduce his investing landscape to a couple of key stocks.
