74. The Impact of the Religious Spirit on Mental Health

You might hear that people are really religious or someone else has a “religious spirit”. The definition of religion is actually controversial, and scholars haven’t even agreed on it. The religious spirit is a type of demonic spirit where people believe they need to earn salvation. This episode will break down the harm and pain the religious spirit can cause on our mental health and what we can do about it. We don’t realize how un-free we are when we continue to do things instead of allowing ourselves to be. The suggestions and prayers in this episode will bring freedom to your soul. For example, being “religious” about good things is not all bad (like going on dates with your spouse), and sometimes we need to do different things to get out of the religious box we are in that keep us from seeing the MORE of God (like attending a different church). God is a good father and desires freedom for us and our loved ones.
